Single crystal CVD diamonds

Single crystal CVD diamonds are being used for their superior performance be it optical clarity, thermal conductivity, chemical inertness and others.

Polycrystalline CVD diamonds

Polycrystalline CVD diamonds are offered in larger sizes, and they are used for their extreme thermal and infrared properties and mechanical strength. They even deliver extreme sound due to their low mass and extreme stiffness. Doped with Boron they can solve some of the most severe environmental challenges of our times.

Optical, RF Windows

CVD diamond has an extremely broad transmission spectrum, exceptional thermal conductivity, low absorption and it delivers vastly increased component lifetime and can be engineered to virtually any configuration. Element Six’s CVD diamond windows allow much higher laser power densities than other materials and will last as long as the laser. CVD RF exit windows enable energy passing through that no other material in nuclear fusion can withstand. Applied in spectroscopy single crystal diamond prisms and lenses can cover the widest transmission spectrum and used as Raman laser crystals. The diamonds can be delivered with coating sand mounted into components.

Thermal, Laser

Thermal, Laser

Synthetic diamond’s outstanding thermal conductivity provides a consistent heat spreading capability, unmatched by any other material, leading to reduced junction temperatures, uniform heat fluxes, and a significant improvement in thermal performance. That makes CVD diamond  the ultimate heat spreader for high-power semiconductor chips. Diamond’s ability to cool GaN-on-SiCradio frequency (RF) amplifier MMICs paves the way for higher power and more reliable radar, wireless communications, laser and other electronic technologies.

Electronics, Quantum, Sensors

Electronics, Quantum, Sensors

Diamond is a wide bandgap semiconductor, with an indirect gap of 5.47 eV with potentially high mobility values and long lifetimes for electrons and holes. Combined with the high breakdown field and thermal conductivity, this makes ELSC ™ series diamond the preferred material for electronic applications. So -called NV centers in diamonds, especially the DNV ™ series are defects with a quantum “spinspin” property. This already is be applied in quantum computing and security, magnetometry and sensing in medical, geo geo-surveying, neutron detection and many other fields.

Water

Boron doped diamond (BDD) has the widest solvent window of all electrode materials in aqueous solution. It is the ideal electrode material as a nonnon-metal and extremely resistant to corrosion and deliver long life in most aggressive liquids pH 1-14 . BDD can be operated under highest current density to deliver high oxidation potential. This makes Diafilm ™ EP ideal to break PFAS molecules, generate ozone and hydrogen peroxide to treat wastewater.

Sound, Speakers

CVD offers extreme rigidity, low mass and low density, that make it ideal to transmit vibrations and high high-frequency signals with minimum unwanted resonance and distortion in the speaker dome. Their response time is instant which reflects accurate sound quality especially in the high frequency range.
